The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort is a wonderful property for people of all ages. This condominium property is one of the newer properties in the Kaanapali area. It is located just north of Whaler's Village and the famous Black Rock. In fact, with the new boardwalk, you can now walk to Black Rock. The property is on a great beach for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. There are instructors who will take you scuba diving right off the beach. The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort has 3 distinct pool areas. The first area has a water slide and a large jacuzzi. This is a great area for families. The second pool area features a pirate ship water play area that is great for families with smaller children. The last pool area features a black bottom pool and has a water volleyball area. This pool is always nice and warm. The property has 2 restaurants and a poolside bar & grill. It also has tennis courts, 2 fitness centers, BBQ's and a mini-mart. There is a children's program for kids ages 5-12 and a fantastic spa facility. The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort offer studios, 1 and 2 bedroom units. The studio and 1 bedroom units will both sleep up to 4 people. They both have a king bed and a queen sofabed. The 2 bedroom units will allow up to 8 people. There is a king bed in each bedroom and a queen sofabed in the living room. The studios have a kitchenette and the 1 and 2 bedroom units have a full kitchen. All units have a washer & dryer. This property is quickly becoming a favorite with those people who know Kaanapali.

Last summer, I had the pleasure of staying at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort with my family. My husband and I have 2 girls, ages 8 and 10 and we all LOVED it here. The girls liked feeding the Koi fish in the ponds. They also liked playing on the beach. My oldest snorkeled for hours and saw sea turtles right in front of the property. My husband liked getting the latest scores at the poolside bar & grill. My idea of a vacation is sitting on a lounge chair listening to the waves and reading a good book. There were plenty of lounge chairs for everyone. One day a week, the property has a small farmer's market on property. It was fun to walk through this tent area shopping and talking to some of the local people.

My family loves to vacation in Maui and Kaanapali is our favorite area. We like to walk down Front Street browsing in the shops. The kids always want a shave ice and we all love to eat at Kool Kats as they have great burgers. We also like to shop at Whaler's Village and usually eat at Hula Grill. We like to sit at a table in the sand. There is nothing better than digging your toes into the sand while sipping on a Mai Tai. This year, for the first time, we took a boat ride out to Molokini to snorkel. My oldest daughter also did Snuba. She was able to go down 20 feet with an air tank attached to a hose on a raft above her. She loved it and cannot wait to scuba now. For us, Maui is the perfect vacation destination.
